How do you differentiate your implant practice?

We all have a plethora of dental practices all around us. As a business we have a need to differentiate ourselves from the competition, which includes dental practices and other discretionary spending. I came up with a list of 5 ways of helping in making your dental practice stand out. Sometimes you only need one thing that makes you unique.

Narrow your target market
By focusing on a specific customer niche, you can specialize in the services that uniquely benefit that customer. Being the best to provide a solution to their unique situation enables you to maximize revenue and build stronger customer relationships.

Focus on superior customer service
Aim to create the best experience for your customers. From your initial proposal through final delivery of your product or service, be sure your customers are treated as if they were the only one you have.

Solve a problem
Find out what common problems your patients have and be the best at solving them. Make your solutions so good and unique so you can solve their problems faster and with better results.

Be innovative
Every industry evolves and so should your business. If you offer similar services as the competition, make the way you deliver them or how you work with your customers unique. When possible innovate and offer solutions that are better, faster or more healthy then the competition.

Be known as the expert
Build a reputation as the expert through your blog posts, books, videos, training and other information products. People who truly have a problem to solve will want to work with the expert.

Being top of mind is one of the most important things your dental practice can be and whenever someone needs a dentist, breaks a tooth, wants to enhance their smile they will think of you and recommend you. The one thing that helped me to differentiate is incorporating ceramic implants into the practice. This pretty much checked off all of the above suggestions and worked wonders at differentiating our practice as the go to implant practice.
